Bleen’s Fortress, Interlude #001

This was the first proper joke I ever did in Garry’s Mod, before the concept of Bleen’s Fortress popped into my head. I was convinced to retroactively insert it into the general flow of things, however, and so here it is. Just ignore the glaring continuity errors (Bleen being on the BLU team, etc) and all will be well. Ahem.

I used the 2Fort map for the team members’ conversation, and a Garry’s Mod level for the third panel (along with heavy bloom processing). If nothing else, doing this really taught me a few things (the flamethrower, for example, is a “thruster” block spewing out flame from inside the weapon’s barrel; I’m unsure if there’s a way to attach AI to TF models, so I couldn’t use the gun properly), and the Steam forum lapped it up quite well.

Which, amusingly, lead to me making an alternate ending for this comic. Had a lot of requests to replace the Sniper with a Spy in that final panel. Really unsure why I didn’t think of it myself.
